The State Department for Parliamentary Affairs is a government institution within the Executive arm of the Republic of Kenya responsible for supporting the coordination of the National Government's legislative and policy agenda. The State Department is domiciled in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, and operates within the framework established under Executive Order No. 1 of January 2023 and Executive Order No. 2 of November 2023 on the Organization of the Government of the Republic of Kenya.

As part of the national government structure, the Department works closely with Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), Parliament, and other stakeholders in facilitating effective engagement on legislative and policy matters that advance national development priorities. The State Department plays an important role in strengthening coordination between the Executive and Parliament and promoting structured engagement in the legislative and policy processes of government.
