The State Department for Parliamentary Affairs (SDPA) was created by the Executive Order No. 1 of January, 2023. It draws its mandate from the Executive Order No. 2 of November, 2023 on Organization of the Government of the Republic of Kenya, with the key mandate being to coordinate the implementation of the National Government's legislative agenda across all Ministries and State Departments in consultation with, and for transmission to, the Party/Coalition Leadership in Parliament.
