GLA DAY 3: Shaping the future of Kenyan Roads.

The State Department for Parliamentary Affairs is currently hosting roundtable discussions with the State Department for Roads led by Eng. Gilbert Arasa, Roads to accelerate the Government Legislative Agenda (GLA).

These sessions are focused on fast-tracking policy initiatives, most notably the Tolling Policy, which is now ready for Cabinet execution, and the Roads Classification Policy, which is currently undergoing internal review.

In addition to policy frameworks, the discussions are prioritizing critical legislative initiatives to strengthen the sector's legal standing. This includes the Kenya Roads (Amendment) (No. 3) Bill, 2025, currently under Senate review, and a comprehensive review of the Kenya Roads Act (Cap. 408).

These coordinated efforts ensure that Kenya’s infrastructure is backed by a robust, modern, and high-priority legal and policy framework.
